MVP AI Project Management Tool

Project overview

The product is

An AI agent tool to help project managers write requirements, estimate LOE, and cost for a variety of technical and design work.
The product would then send the completed scope of work to the network of TopCoder crowd source talent to complete the work.
The project manager would receive several crowd source solutions and choose the top 3 that best fit their requirements.

Why this product exists

To improve user confidence in AI-generated project requirement writing and build trust in crowd sourced solutions.

What does success look like

Meet the deadline deliverable for the MVP product with satisfied user engagement with the AI agent, successful crowd sourced solutions, and a seamless transition between AI and human assistance.

✤ Partnered with the UX manager to understand the scope of work and where the team needed help.

Audited the current design process and determined a Figma design system was needed to increase design output.
Based on current design files with localized components, I built a Figma design system to accelerate design production and streamline developer handoff.
Worked with designers and their Figma files to integrate the components into their work without interrupting their flow.

✤ Worked with product and dev to address minor UX/UI fixes to elevate the user experience.

I did some user research with the product team to identify where the customer was abandoning automation in favor of human support and designed a mirco UI interaction to meet the user wherever they were.
The UI was missing a way to manage the human support, called Copilots, and I created another mirco UI interaction to help users know who their support person was and how to contact them. In app messaging was not in scope.
Created a passive in-app feedback UI once the work was completed to help leadership and product iterate on future features.
Proposed a notification center to streamline business messaging (AI updates; pricing; Copilot news, etc) and feature updates.

Took time to understand the personality types of the decision makers; how they communicate; adapt process to meet them where they are to earn trust and invest in collaboration.
As a short term project, I understood this was an all hands on deck situation and no task was off the table. My skills went where they were needed and the tasks got the full attention they needed and deserved.

Built solid communication between myself, product and engineering leadership to align design strategy with business objectives.
Designed for scale and adaptability by architecting flexible UI patterns that accommodate diverse user types, project scopes, and evolving platform requirements.
Learned new features and tools of Figma on the fly and quickly digested how to work with AI to iterate on wording ideas, organize design thinking, and project language to present to leadership for signoff.
